Dishonored 2 is clearly an underrated game. A quality immersive sim, the level design allows for many different approaches. The powers are well thought out.
I think the game suffers from some flaws that prevent it from standing out from the crowd, notably:
- A lack of precision in the sound. An enemy can hear us walking even when we are a floor above. It's a shame because it ruins our plans. As far as I know, all stealth games have this issue.
- An AI that does really weird things, like running for no reason. The problem is that it's not predictable.
- The graphics are dull. I can see that there is a real artistic direction, but it is not showcased because everything is gray and plastic-looking. And above all, the environments are full of objects, and since nothing catches the eye, it is sometimes difficult to understand what to interact with. I have often spent 10 minutes looking for an object (a key, for example) when it was right in front of me. It's frustrating. The Void Engine is ugly.
- A story/lore/character that is not very convincing. I didn't understand any of the Outsider's dialogue, and yet he talks a lot... I don't feel attached to the universe.
In short, a game that shines mainly through its gameplay thanks to its level design.
Pretty good game.

The game takes what was amazing in the first game and simply improves upon it. The game has a myriad of non-lethal options now for players like me who just want to play only stealth. I didn't do any combat in the first game and i didn't do any combat any in this game either, but the stealth elements are just amazing. Corvo and Emily also play differently enough that she doesn't just feel like a skin. They have different powers and could be played differently if desired.

10/10 - Gameplay
10/10 - Story
∞/10 - Worldbuilding
∞/10 - Level design
If you played the first game and is uncertain about getting this, dont be, trust me and give Arkane their deserved money, it is only fair, they've created a masterpiece.

A very effective form of therapy that lets you know that your murderous quirks are not socially accepted. Instead using its moral highground it suggests you to fry someone's brain using electricity which apparently makes you a saint

Hands down, the best single-player game I’ve ever touched. The art style? Gorgeous. The map? I could explore it forever and still find new stuff. I’ve been telling everyone to play this since I first got my hands on it over six years ago on console — and yes, I’m still obsessed.
My Steam playtime looks suspiciously low because I only bought it there later… let’s just say 'reasons' and leave it at that. I’ve beaten it more times than I can count, trying out all sorts of playstyles just for fun. It’s packed with cool nods to the previous game, and the story? If you actually pay attention, it’s kind of a masterpiece. Emotional damage included (in the best way).

Not quite as good as the first, but this is easily a B+ or A- game compared to the A that was the first game.

Cannot recommend.
The game, from the latest patch, now insists I'm on the demo and can play three levels.
This is effectively having stolen my money.

Great game! Story is good, but gameplay and level design are amazing! Both protagonist are well made and the game strategies change a lot (for steath or not) with each other! Your choices or lack of, change the way the game goes on, as well as the ending.
I suggest you to play the first if you with to fully understand the story.
All in all its a very nice stealth game, lots of path to choose from, nice ammount of exploration on every mission... I'm sure you can try to play it like a "parkour action game", but I think the fun is in playing it using stealth (lethal and non-lethal).
