Honestly I know that this is the 4th release of the tsw franchise and it is still written in unreal engine tsw2 prototype. But at least you can run the game you have payed for.
This game at least adds a new feature compared to tsw3 or 2 which is the free roam mode. This have been requested for so long so it is good to see that it is finally added to the game. I bought special edition on last year's summer sale for ~19 € instead of the 120 € it is priced at. There are very big sales so dont waste your mone on addons and dlc until its spring sale whan you can get it for usually halt the price. By the way it was worth forr the br101 expert to buy tsw4!

I really like this game, I’m still learning how to drive the locomotives but I’ve got a good grip on things for the most part so far. I wanna work for the railroad in the future so this is a very helpful simulator to give you a little bit of experience haha. I wish this game had multiplayer. You could hop in as an engineer and sit beside some one as the conductor, talk to other players over a radio. It would be awesome! I really like this game though, the DLC is a bit pricey but it’s okay. If you like simulators I recommend this game. And the training missions are very good for beginners like me because they are SO descriptive on what to do.
