Beautiful graphics, beautiful environments, beautiful music and Beautiful Senua.
Ninja Theory is cool!
BUT..
The first Hellblade (Senua's Sacrifice) was much much better; story, scenes, gameplay, puzzles and the fear of permanent death, brilliant and it cost 20 euros less at the release.
*crazy trailer anyway ❤️

A dreamy journey through Scandinavia, lined at the sides with the hell of psychotic invasive impressions, the pitfalls of human abysses and the harsh weather effects of ice and snow. A wonderfully impressive, playable movie.

If you enjoyed the first game, you'll likely enjoy this as well. Is it as good? Maybe not, but it's close. Graphically it's definitely the best looking game I've ever played, and the audio is just as good as it's 2017 predecessor. Not a ton of replay value, other than re-experiencing the same game - so maybe pick it up on sale like I did.

This game is absolutely incredible. The chills I felt, the music and the furies taking scenes to the next level. I love how despite being a horror game I found myself crying several times during the game like in the first game. The writing is so good that a character I HATED (and thought there was no way they could make me like them) became a character I loved and cared about. I appreciate how the devs cared so much on how they portrayed Senua's (and others like her) psychosis. Much love and its beautiful how we can see the world in other people's eyes. I hope for more Hellblade games because this is just fantastic work and the horror goosebumps I get are addicting.

It needs to be played for storytelling, not gameplay. The way the story is handled is impeccable.

It's a shame that this game seemed to not really get the attention that it deserved because it is honestly fantastic. A little shorter than the first one but somehow feels way larger in scope. I really enjoyed the direction it took with Senua feeling less like a helpless waif who stumbles her way through events that happen to her rather than because of her and more like a proven warrior with a tangible goal in mind. At times terrifying but always cinematic and beautiful, I really loved this one and the addition of Heilung to the soundtrack really sealed the deal for me.

Visually stunning game. Almost felt like a walking tech demo, which isn't a bad thing in my book.
Last part of the game is very, VERY demanding performance wise. RTX4070Ti and Ryzen 7 5800x couldn't keep up with the performance requirements to run 4K with max settings, even with DLSS and Frame Gen on, mostly due to the high demand of VRAM. Had to drop down to 1440p with medium, to get 40ish frames for the final. Kinda bummed about that, to be honest.
Solid story, great ending. 6/10

The game visuals are beautiful no doubts, but the game itself is quite disappointing.
There're a few fights, which are identical, and no boss fights, except for the last fight, but it feels like just a strong regular enemy, nothing special, it takes like a couple of seconds to adapt.
As I recall it there were a few boss fights in the first game. pretty good ones.
And the plot was much much better.
All this is my personal opinion only.
I do recommend playing the first game though

This game is beautiful. The music is intense. The soundtrack is magnificent.
But… the gameplay is truly abominable:
40% of the game consists of walking, 30% of listening to explanatory dialogues, 20% of solving simplistic "puzzles", 10% of fighting "against the combat system" rather than enemies...
This destroys all the artistic qualities of the game. I rather recommend the first opus in the series
