for the hate this game gets, I love it. I always love games the general masses tend to dislike, one such game is the new Saint's Row but nonetheless, this game is quite similar to its brothers but is very stale, the villain DLCs are kind of boring since it is almost the same thing but I will say they are interesting from a story-view. I am speaking only playing Vaas' DLC and jumped into Josephs which... was the same thing? I know that I only have 12 hours in this review but I have beaten the game many times on console. I have yet to play the other DLC, fractured worlds I believe but I am still excited because despite all my whining. I love this game, Dani is such a fun character to play and although the main NPCs are slightly boring, characters like El' Tigre and Carlos Montero are very interesting and I enjoy playing with them. The Amigos are all fun in their own ways and I've found a lot of fun in using Chorizo and I can't wait to try using Champagne and the cyber dog (Sadly forgot the name) but I want whoever reading this before buying one thing.
This game is good, but compared to Far Cry 3,4 and 5 it is not as... interesting. Anton is a very predictable villain and compared to Vaas, Pagan and Joseph he is simply not as good, not a bad villain by any means but he is lackluster, having more time than Pagan yet somehow never feeling there until the very end. At least Pagan Min was there with the calls, Anton meets you truly a handful of times just for you to run away or kill him.
This game is to be enjoyed, enjoy it and if you don't like it then thats fine! I love this game purely because it is the most straightforward game which is nice after playing another game that takes my entire brain to process. <33

Entertaining game, story is pretty bad though and coop is buggy.

Okay story, good graphics, some awful game design decisions - 7/10

Your typical ubisoft game with unlocking the map and sh!t, story is written by a millennial who hasn't touched grass their entire life, AI is terrible, enemies are spongy or one shot depending on your choice, you are given OP guns from the start, there is no skill tree anymore so you don't feel like progressing in the game, the game wont react to your crimes it doesn't matter if you rescue hostages or even kill them yourself xd. far cry 6 was bloated for no reason just like AC Valhalla.
villain was meh i guess. graphics are whatever.
if you are a far cry fan get this on sale otherwise not recommended.

I have played all the Far Cry, starting with 1 when it came out. It a similar play like Crysis, but the story and scenes are far more nature and story driven. All the extra stuff, crafting, hunting, fishing and the rest, distracts IMO. The early games had none of that and are still my favorites. Do not make the game to cluttered, it will dilute the experience. All that being said it one of my favorite of the 4-6 series.

I've been a fan of the Far Cry series since the 2nd iteration. It really seems this series has fallen off. I could go on about game mechanics and ever detail of why this game is "bad'. But the real reason is it is completely sterile and soulless. This game genuinely feels like a amped up fps version of a bad mobile game. Bad world building, bad quests, no sense of drama or danger, no feeling of impact on the world, no rewarding game play. I gave this game a fair shot but Far Cry as a series is dead.

I didn't play this game for a while because my boyfriend had seen a lot of negative comments (mostly about how it pales in comparison to 5). It was on a pretty good sale recently, so we both bought a copy on a whim to see how bad it could actually be.
Guys, this game is so good. Compared to 5, which we LOVED, this one is on par to be the best Far Cry yet. We are only a small fraction of the way through it (side quests... so many side quests...), but everything from the story, to game play, to how much there truly is to do just makes it so entertaining and fun.
If you're like me and you listened to all of the negative comments, just take a chance and then see what you think once you've actually played it.

One of the most fun games in the series, the map is unnecessarily huge, like they could have split it in half, and it would still be okay, but there's a lot of stuff to do. It has many choices of guns and weapons you can use and it is a banger.

Excellent addition to the Far Cry series. It improves scope and story, creates plausible lore and the characters are memorable. Many mechanical elements were improved over previous games, i.e. unlocking towers vs. bases and checkpoints. Definitely deserves the investment in terms of both money and time to explore Yarra fully.
