America, 1899.

Arthur Morgan and the Van der Linde gang are outlaws on the run. With federal agents and the best bounty hunters in the nation massing on their heels, the gang must rob, steal and fight their way across the rugged heartland of America in order to survive. As deepening internal divisions threaten to tear the gang apart, Arthur must make a choice between his own ideals and loyalty to the gang who raised him.

Now featuring additional Story Mode content and a fully-featured Photo Mode, Red Dead Redemption 2 also includes free access to the shared living world of Red Dead Online, where players take on an array of roles to carve their own unique path on the frontier as they track wanted criminals as a Bounty Hunter, create a business as a Trader, unearth exotic treasures as a Collector or run an underground distillery as a Moonshiner and much more.

With all new graphical and technical enhancements for deeper immersion, Red Dead Redemption 2 for PC takes full advantage of the power of the PC to bring every corner of this massive, rich and detailed world to life including increased draw distances; higher quality global illumination and ambient occlusion for improved day and night lighting; improved reflections and deeper, higher resolution shadows at all distances; tessellated tree textures and improved grass and fur textures for added realism in every plant and animal.

This game has been in my library for several years. And I had 3 attempts to pass this game, but all of them failed.
A couple of days ago I saw a beautiful edit in tiktok about this game, and I wanted to give another chance to this game.
Now I understand exactly why this game is called a great game, atmospheric and with an amazing story. This game gave me so many positive, kind, sad, and pleasant moments, even with words I can't tell you how glad I am that a few days ago I decided to come back to this game.

ARTHUR MORGAN, YOU'RE A GOOD MAN.

At the time of writing this review, no game has ever made me feel such a wide range of emotions—happiness, sadness, and laughter. No game has ever left such a deep impression on my heart. Red Dead Redemption 2 deserves to be recognized as the game of the century.

Yeah, the game’s got a painfully slow start—no denying that—but it’s all intentional. It’s designed to pull you into the world. I hit that same wall restarting on PS4 Pro, then PS5, and finally just muscled through it on PC. No regrets.

If I had to sum up the game in one word: beautiful. The open world is insane—nothing else really compares. Arthur? He’s a funny asshole, and somehow, you end up loving the guy. The gang’s a wild mix of people you’ll cheer for and want to punch in the face.

It’s the cowboy simulator, plain and simple.

I dont like american XIXth far west setting.
To me, most open world games feels the same and i lose interest rapidly.

Yet i love this game because it has a soul.

Rockstar’s Red Dead Redemption 2 isn’t just a game. It’s an entire world frozen in the grit and glory of the American frontier. From its sweeping landscapes to the smallest, dust-covered detail, this is an experience that excels at every level: story, mechanics, immersion, and sheer atmosphere. The voice acting is stellar, and the immersion and emphasis on the day-to-day actions of the NPCs on this game is mindblowing. Hell, you can see NPCs actually hammering nails in, the focus on the small details is that deep.

There's also a plethora of roleplaying communities set in the world of RDR2, text and voice alike, if those are to your liking.

The game didn't really sit right with me until I realised that I didn't need to craft every outfit, find every dino bone and obsess over every cig card. This game made me realise that I honestly don't actually enjoy open-world games, and that's fine, because once I put aside the boring hunting and focused only on the story, I had a great adventure.

The best game I've ever played in my life. Perfect world, gameplay, voice actor, the vibes, the story, the details, all is just soo perfect. If only the mission never ended i will play forever.

Fuck rockstar and their metadata sucking launcher. Would be a great game if I could A) play the SINGLE PLAYER GAME OFFLINE and B) I wasn't forced to download a fucking launcher to play a SINGLE PLAYER GAME I purchased on STEAM.

Rockstar’s New Update: A Privacy Nightmare?
I’ve always enjoyed gaming, but Rockstar’s latest update has crossed the line. Imagine needing to grant extensive access to your PC just to play an offline game—sounds absurd, right? But that’s exactly what’s happening. The game now demands permissions to read my system and run in the background. For what purpose? It’s invasive, unnecessary, and raises serious privacy concerns.
To make matters worse, the update seemingly restricts tools like IP blockers or changes—tools that many rely on for cybersecurity and protection against hackers. Instead of safeguarding us from vulnerabilities, this move feels like gamers are being put in harm’s way while also being stripped of control over their systems.
This level of overreach is unprecedented. No game should demand this much access to a user’s PC. I believe it’s time to take a stand—not only for our own privacy but for the entire gaming community.
For those who feel the same, reach out to Rockstar and demand accountability. Request refunds if needed. Let platforms like Steam know about these over-the-top permissions. Spread awareness and encourage others to hold companies like this accountable. Rockstar has 30 days to issue a full refund or address these concerns appropriately.
Together, we can send a message: our privacy matters, and we won’t compromise just for the sake of a game.
