Now on the hunt for those who hurt your family, you'll be able to monitor and hack all who surround you by manipulating everything connected to the city’s network. Access omnipresent security cameras, download personal information to locate a target, control traffic lights and public transportation to stop the enemy…and more.
Use the city of Chicago as your ultimate weapon and exact your own style of revenge.

Remember when ubisoft used to make great games? Well this one of them.
Not exactly a hidden gem, but definitely underrated. Mostly because of how the E3 trailers set expectations way too high. What we got wasn’t quite what was promised, but it’s still a solid game that deserves more credit than it gets.
The Good:
-The story is intriguing and keeps you curious all the way through.
-The atmosphere is excellent, nighttime rain in the city looks stunning, and the open world feels alive.
-There’s a lot to do: side missions, activities, etc
-Good variety of weapons and unlockables
-Tons of side content for those who enjoy. I really liked the chess puzzle one.
-Hacking is simpler than what the trailers teased, but honestly, it works well for the gameplay
The Bad:
- Driving feels off, vehicles don’t handle great, and traffic AI makes weird decisions like stopping in the middle of nowhere or refusing to stop when they should.
-The aim assist is awful. It's way too aggressive and aims to the chest of the enemies, and worst of all, you can’t turn it off.
-Ubisoft’s launcher...
If you enjoy open-world third-person shooters like Sleeping Dogs, GTA, or anything in that genre, you’ll probably have a good time with this one. It may not have lived up to the hype, but it’s still a well-made game with plenty to offer.

I just finished the main story, which is short but good. Pearse having a family gives him so much charater unlike marcus from watchdogs2. Game starts sad and ngl ends sad, wish Aidan hada better story. Game overall is a 7/10

One of the best games I have ever played. I love the Sigma male's universe with containers and hacking. I'm just as happy playing this game as in the beginning.

A good game ahead of its time. The story and character development is great. I think its the best game within the watch dog series story wise.
The visuals are beautiful for its time and you can enhance the graphics more with mods but even with the base game its great.
The game mechanics are fun but after I played WD 2, it feels like there are more options in the second game.
There are some really good music in the game too. I added some of them to my playlist.
The only defect of this game is the online mode. The servers were broken for the game for 20+ days I think. As I am a completionist myself, I feared I couldn't 100% the game due to the broken servers but fortunately Ubisoft fixed the servers. I tried filing a case in the Ubisoft site and I communicated with the staff. They said they would fix the issue as soon as possible. Maybe many other players from the community did the same and it helped. Anyways, apart from that issue, the game is great.
I definitely recommend this game to any single player game enthusiast.

Bought this game 3x times over, first on the Wii U, 100%´ed it twice, next on Ubisoft, completed it again and now on Steam where I have fully gone backwards, doing everything I can before showing up to the birthday party and doing as much as possible before continuing and completing the story, all and everything, now that I am done, I can finally try T-bone's story which I have never tried.

To be perfectly honest, this is the reason I study game design. I love everything about this game. Yeah it has bugs and problems like the "bedbug" mission where you have to shoot the surrounding area in order to progress. This is a game I had on the Xbox 360 and I loved every moment. Child me would of loved to work at Ubisoft. Honestly if anyone is thinking about playing this game, you will enjoy every moment of it.

After 11 hours of playing, the game decided to update Ubisoft Connect app and after that all my saves just disappeared and I lost all progress. Before that all saves were on my PC and everything was fine. Thanks Ubi for that and thanks for your stupid and useless Ubisoft Connect
However the game itself is good, everything except shooting and driving still looks decent to this day, but keep in mind the problem with Ubisoft's app, thanks to which you can lose all your progress at any time

I was very excited for this game back in 2014, I played it on the Xbone but I always wanted to play Watch Dogs with the super polished graphics shown off in the trailers. Recently I bought the game again on a sale just so I could mod it and play with all the benefits of PC gaming. I'm using the Nextgen Graphics Overhaul 2 from Nexus Mods, and it is such a visual boost from unmodded graphics.
The game itself has good and bad qualities, I like the driving and on foot chases. The story and characters are good. not amazing, just good. Hacking is the core of the game, but the hacking puzzles and side quests get old quick. Hacking the world elements is where its fun, like causing a huge car crash by triggering the traffic lights, or road blocks just to name a few. The gun play is also just ok, some heavy mobs simply take too many bullets to kill. You're better off just killing some mobs with explosives and stealth takedowns if possible.
I wish I didn't have OCD because I always feel the urge to do EVERY side objective in games like this and let me tell ya, I hate the side objectives in this game! BUT I MUST PUSH ON!
I give the game 7/10 add a graphics mod or two and its a 7.5/10

great game, loved it as a kid. only reason i am leaving a thumbs down is because you can't access online services if you purchased the complete edition on steam without purchasing the game again on ubisoft's launcher.
