Game's awesome, the only downside is that the game is capped at 60 fps and has a horrendous Depth of field implementation that makes the game look terrible.
If you don’t play Detroit: Become Human, I might start questioning your humanity. Just saying.
I’m writing this review to convince you, my friend that I will not name/shame (you know who you are), to finally dive into it, because I know you’re missing out. Sidenote: I originally played this game on the PlayStation 4, that's why I don't have any playtime on Steam yet.
Detroit: Become Human isn’t just a game, it’s an experience. It grabs you from the start and takes you on an emotional rollercoaster that you won’t forget. From the world to the characters, everything feels so real, like you’re not just playing, but living through the story.
Set in a near-future Detroit, the game follows three androids: Kara, Connor, and Markus. Each with their own powerful story. As you make choices for them, you’ll find yourself questioning what it means to be human. What’s right? What’s wrong? What would you do if you had to choose between survival, freedom, or loyalty?
What makes Detroit so special is the choices you make. No two people will play the game the same way. Each decision, big or small, shapes the story. Sometimes it’s hard to know what the right choice is, and sometimes the choices are painful, but that’s what makes them stick with you. You’re constantly thinking about how your choices affect the characters and the world. You’ll find yourself making choices that haunt you long after the game ends, especially when you realize the weight of the consequences for the characters you’ve come to care so deeply about. Every decision feels important.
And not to forget the plot twists will completely blow your mind. Just when you think you’ve figured everything out, the game throws something at you that flips everything on its head. The choices you thought were simple suddenly carry unimaginable weight, and you’ll find yourself questioning everything you thought you knew about the characters and the story.
The voice acting and facial animations are incredible. The characters feel alive. You’ll see the fear in Kara’s eyes, the conflict in Connor’s face, and the hope in Markus's heart. It’s like you’re watching a movie, but you control the plot. The actors truly bring the characters to life, making it easy to care about what happens to them.
The world itself is stunning. Detroit looks amazing, from the towering buildings to the small, personal spaces where the androids fight for their rights. The places you visit are beautifully designed, from dark alleys to bright, bustling streets. It all feels real, and it’s easy to get lost in it.
The music also plays a huge role. It swells during emotional moments, making you feel even more connected to the story. It’s like the music is guiding you through the journey, matching the highs and lows perfectly.
Detroit: Become Human isn’t just a game; it’s an unforgettable story about freedom, humanity, and the power of choice. It’s the best game I’ve ever played because it made me feel something deep inside. I’m really hoping you’ll give it a try. It’s the kind of game that sticks with you, and I can’t imagine you not loving it. If you want to experience a story that goes beyond entertainment and makes you think, this is the game to play. Trust me, once you play Detroit: Become Human, it will change you in ways you never expected. It's a story that will reach into your soul, challenge everything you believe, and linger in your heart long after you've finished.
One last tip: Get ready to keep a box of tissues nearby, this game will have your emotions all over the place.

The main attraction of Detroit: Become Human is the plot, told from the perspective of three android heroes. The action of the production takes place in the near future in the titular city of Detroit. In the game's universe, machines that look and behave like humans are common, which creates serious social problems, such as high unemployment and the need for new resources. The protagonists are Kara and Markus, robots used to help around the house and take care of its inhabitants, and Connor, a prototype android used by the police during investigations, interrogations and negotiations. Through their intertwined stories, the player observes and participates in the appearance of machines that, due to a defect in the software, began to rebel, run away from their owners and finally feel human emotions.
✅One of the best games I've ever played
✅The game has these elements at a very high level
✅Well written storyline with believed events, reactions and characters.
✅Graphics and music is amazing 10/10. It is simply beautiful and realistic.
✅Good variety of situations and environments.
✅We can check after finishing the chapter what percentage of people chose a different path
✅Dubbing (I played on the Polish dubbing, it was excellent)
✅Each of our choices can have an impact on the further plot and the fate of the characters
✅The feeling of the game, in which the player becomes attached to the characters
✅A difficult story that keeps you in suspense
✅Flowchart of intriguing possible scenarios.
✅Some of the plots actually make you think
✅A good balance of dynamic and calm scenes
✅Characters (3 playable characters)
✅The possibility of playing again and completing it in a dozen or so ways
✅The game is quite long for a game with choices
✅Zero bugs (I did not avoid any bugs)
❌Kara's story seems isolated from the others (it is not very connected to the 2 characters)
❌Sometimes I would get crashes even though I had a good gaming computer.

The best interactive movie I've ever played and one of my favorite games (hopefully Quantic Dream will release an even cooler project someday).

Ah yes a choice matter game that your choice actually matters.
The last time I played it was 3 years ago and yet still remember everything so clearly.
Truly a fantastic amazing game! Characters, story, voicing and world-building is pretty well done. Every time it amazes me! Has so many endings and there is lots to discover.
And for sure it won't get boring that easily.

This is my favourite game from the genre, yet I am forced to give it a negative review. I played it a long time ago, back on PS4 (even got every achievement). The story is amazing, your choices actually DO matter, and graphics are fabulous.
My issue is with the technical part of the game. Using DualSense makes this game unplayable. Developers didn't even care about properly porting the button prompts into the game. I've heard it's working on DualShock 4, but on DualSense it doesn't, no matter the settings you turn on. During the game you make crucial choices, and one bad input mistake during a very important scene, can ruin the whole chapter for you.
I'd rather dust off my PS4 and play it in 30fps there, than play the game on PC with absolutely wrong button prompts. Sadly, I have to refund the game.

Go in blind, do not look anything up, accept your choices regardless of the outcome.

I have no Idea how the fuck does this game even exist, Story ,Art-style, game-play, soundtrack a sense of agency and consequence and the horror of making a choice in a matter of seconds.... IF YOU'RE READING THIS REVIEW DO YOURSELF A FAVOR, BUY THIS GAME AND PLAY IT.

Amazing game; interesting story, outstanding graphics, likable characters, very cinematic and choices actually matter.
The only issue is that I didn't like the twist in this game
Alice
compared to the ones in previous Quantic Dream's titles.
