absolute masterpiece!
one of the most amazing and most beautiful, immersive, artistic and playable games I've ever played!
you are a true samurai, fighting for liberation of your island from the Mongols and uncovering a great story on your journey through beautiful landscapes and bloody fights with your enemies..
10/10

Fun until the memory leak kicks in. The devs still haven't fixed it and it's been known since launch.

I get about an hour of perfectly functional gameplay before framerates plummet, game stutters, load times increase, and menu navigation lags to hell and back.

Fix the memory leak and the game will be perfect. Also, PC load times are longer than playstation's before the memory leak does anything. Maybe you could fix that while you're at it.

I initially played this game on the PS5 but sadly I abandoned it after the first area. It just wasn’t doing it for me at the time. I’m so glad I picked it up again on steam with a sale. The game is flipping gorgeous and I’m not one for stories but this story is pretty rad.

I’m looking forward to the sequel.

The best visual game!!!! It has vibrant colours, great locations and impressive combat experience. Has great story but some parts were repetative but the graphical environment covered it for me. Overall it is an amazing game.

Love this game. Playing on lethal has been a great time. I'll likely 100% the campaign. This dislike is purely for the PSN requirement. Being locked out of a portion of the game I paid for is real bad. If Helldivers can be rid of it, so can this game. Suck it Sony!

The open world is absolutely breathtaking, and the story of Jin Sakai's journey is so gripping. The combat system, with its smooth swordplay and use of stances, is one of the best I've experienced in recent games.
the visuals, especially during the Kurosawa Mode, really give off that cinematic samurai vibe

-open World.
the world of Ghost of Tsushima absolutely shines here. Tsushima Island is gorgeous, and the way the game uses the landscape to guide your exploration is genius. No mini-map clutter here! Instead, you follow the wind, or even animals like foxes, to your objectives. The open world feels natural, with every area designed to make you feel immersed in nature. You’ll find yourself just taking in the view… before getting caught up in a battle.”

-the combat
“The combat in Ghost of Tsushima is a mix of fast-paced swordplay and stealth tactics. The stance system is a game-changer. You’ve got different stances for different types of enemies, and mastering them is crucial. One second you’re blocking and parrying, and the next you’re switching to stealth, silently taking down enemies with your bow or sneaking behind them for a quick kill. The fluidity of combat is addictive, and there’s so much room for skill improvement, making every encounter feel rewarding.”

- Graphics
“This game is absolutely beautiful. The world of Tsushima is filled with breathtaking vistas, changing seasons, and dynamic weather. Beautiful soundtrack, The score fits perfectly with every moment, whether it's an intense battle or a quiet walk through a forest.”

“Overall, Ghost of Tsushima is a masterpiece. Whether you’re a fan of samurai lore, open-world adventures, or just great combat, this game has it all. The story is compelling, the world is beautiful, and the gameplay is both strategic and visceral. With Iki Island expanding the experience even further, it’s hard to deny this game’s place as one of top game out there.

it's not perfect ! there are some repetitive side quests, and the late-game enemies don’t always mix things up as much as I’d like. But those are small gripes in an otherwise incredible experience.”

One of the most visually stunning games I've ever played, I would describe it as an interactive painting and that is not an understatement. It starts off as a very standard video game story but near the end you are able to see the boundless creativity. It's written in a very natural way. I did not see it as worth my time at first but it is. I hope there is a sequel made where writers are given even more freedom. For those of you who don't care for the writing though? You are basically samurai batman and it's a fun time.

If you're looking for a Dark Souls experience you won't find it here. Like most open world games, once you get some upgrades even the hardest difficulty is simple to defeat, but it is most definitely worth the ride.

Ghost of Tsushima: Director’s Cut delivers one of the most visually stunning and immersive open-world experiences out there. The combat system is fluid and evolves as you progress, offering a satisfying mix of stealth, swordplay, and exploration. Every location is beautifully designed, making it a joy to traverse without fast travel.
The story, while straightforward, is elevated by strong writing and cinematic presentation. The Iki Island expansion adds emotional weight and explores Jin’s backstory in a meaningful way. Though there are occasional bugs, they don’t take away from the overall experience.

First off, this is possibly the most breathtaking game that I've ever played. The graphics are absolutely gorgeous and the world is filled with a variety of biomes - from tall grasslands, to dense rainforests, swampy wetlands and snowy mountains. Every shot is screenshot-worthy and you will never get bored of the scenery. At times, I chose to ignore the fast-travel option because I wanted to enjoy the beautiful landscapes more.

The world is made more immersive by the lack of UI and the use of its unique wind mechanic as its navigation system. However, the game does suffer from the repetitiveness of its map activities like most open-world games do. But what Ghost of Tsushima does really well in this aspect compared to others is that they actually offer great rewards in the form of permanent buffs e.g. maximum health boost, resolve increase & new skills. Hence, you never feel like you’re wasting your time doing these activities despite the sheer amount of them, as the rewards for completing them are things which will benefit you in all future combat encounters.

Speaking of combat, initially it may seem shallow and difficult, but as you start to gain more resolve and skills, it opens a lot more and becomes much more manageable and fun. The combat never dulls as there are always different builds and playstyles you can switch to, whether that be stealth, direct frontal attacks, range or standoff duels. The stealth in this game is satisfying good and the swordplay, most importantly, is tight and responsive. Each hit feels like your character has weight on him, making you feel like a real samurai.

As for the story, the main plot itself isn't that deep and is pretty straight-forward, but the excellent writing and the cinema-like presentation elevates it to a level where you will be kept engaged to it. The game will question your morality a lot, especially in regards to your honor. However, you don't really get to have a say on that as the game lack choices that you can make (there's only two in the entire game – one at the end of the main story and the other in a side quest in the DLC). The DLC is a must-play since it offers a very introspective look on Jin's character, further exploring his backstory and growth and making him much more likeable.

To sum up, if you want an immersive, linear, story-driven game that is set in a beautiful open-world and is based on the Mongol Invasion of Japan, Ghost of Tsushima is for you. The game also has an online co-op mode which is surprisingly decent too.
