Having played the previous version, and reading other reviews I wasn't going to spend the full amount on this game. I saw a deal and thought ok, it's worth a try.
I literally can see minimal difference in the actual mechanics, visuals and structure of the game from the previous.
Sure there's a new option for creating a team and for specific "scenarios" within which to do that, but then there's nothing.
There's still so many flaws that existed in the previous.
Got bored quickly but thought I'd continue to complete all the achievements. That done, it's uninstalled, never to be opened again.
If you've got the previous version, save your money, even if it's 90% off.

I have over 100 hours on motorsport manager, it's a great sim but F1 manager 2024 is basically the same experience with a shinier coat of paint. If you'd like to manage your own F1 team, you'll probably enjoy this.

Great game for what it is meant to be. Updates have really brought it to life over the years. Shame it's too late to save the franchise. The customization suite is a really nice addition especially for those that do not use mods. Modding has gotten much better now that the game is more stable. You can easily customize every aspect of the game if you utilize the modding community. It still has issues with some things that can be plastered over with mods tweaking ai behaviour. The ai doesn't navigate traffic well in qualifying. DRS and ERS are still far overpowered. Car upgrades are still fairly barebones and easy to game the system. The ai also does not really utilize upgrades well. All these things can be quite annoying to the average user and I fully understand those that give negative reviews because of this. However all of that can be overlooked if you use mods and the database editor to tailor your experience. If you are looking for a hardcore simulation maybe look elsewhere. If you expect a cheap game like this to be everything you've ever wanted in an F1 game look elsewhere. Really at that point good luck to you that product had not and never will exist. If you are a hardcore F1 fan and don't mind a bit of extra leg work to make a good game great then this one's for you.

Decent management game. It does some things better then Motorsport manager, but fails in other areas. If you enjoyed Motorsport Manager then this is worth the pickup when it is on sale next.

Definite improvement over F1M '22 and '23
The contracts make sense, development is streamlined and the gameplay feels less "clanky"
My Team is also a lovely addition and has a rather in depth customization system, similar to the EA F1 games.

This game is just TERRIBLE!! Little to no effort on creating a decent game. This is a copy paste of the last years game with the EXACT SAME ISSUES. Its just very bad, would not recommend anyone buying this game.
I bought it on Steam soon after release on 2024, and refunded it as it was a very disappointing experience.
I also got it for free on Epic Games 1 year after release, and game kept being a piece of trash, they did not even tried to fix it in a whole year.
Theres absolutely 0 sanctions on other drivers doing crazy stuff like sending you off the track. And you can see cars bumping each other pretty often, with 0 damage taken and 0 effect on their speed .. just AWFUL!
Its not even following the Safety Car rule for overlapped cars. And Interval timers usually get really broken when a satefy cars happen.
The visuals are just bad, Sponsor logos on walls get blurry when you are at high speed but when the logos position nearby your wheels, the logos become completely visible even when you are at 300 km/h.
This aint a 35 € game, this is a 3 € game in alpha version.
As an extra, engineer radios can be completely random .. you could be asking the pilot to change ERS setting to "Charge" and the Engineer would say "MODE PUSH, MODE PUSH", or "OVERTAKE ON" on the radio ... just bad.
Also, when a car gets overlapped or leaves room for the car on qualification lap .. the car being overlapped pretty much parks on the side of the track, goes down to 0 speed also meaning cars behind pretty much get to you with ease. Its just terribly wrong!

Looks like a lot to learn but I am looking forward to that. This game will also enhance my watching real F1 in the future. Get this game and dig into it! The contents includes stuff I never even considered before; dealing with sponsors, facilities management, staff hiring, etc.
