(Spoiler-Free Summary Review, coming from someone who's been playing DELTARUNE since it was originally 'SURVEY_PROGRAM')
THE GOOD:
-Chapters 3 & 4 offer a plethora of content for the money. The new chapters are considerably longer with a ton of optional bosses, minigames, and things to see/do.
-The writing is top notch, and knows exactly how to balance humor and crucial story beats even when the stakes are rising.
-Soundtrack has a healthy balance of remixes, re-releases, and new tracks that consistently keep every encounter fresh in your mind long after you've completed them.
-Lots of variation between chapters that never drags down the pace and mostly doesn't overstay its welcome.
-Pluey.
THE BAD:
-To be honest, this game should be labelled as "Early Access". It's not the full release as you're only getting 4 of the planned 7 chapters currently, and the store page hasn't been updated to even reflect that Chapters 3 & 4 are included. Later chapters will be free updates and long-time Undertale and DELTARUNE fans will all know this, but the average consumer who wants to see what all the hype is about will certainly be confused as they roll credits on Chapter 4.
-Chapter 3 is front loaded with typos, animation errors, and crashes (Especially during the secret encounter). Said crashes happened on both my main gaming PC and Steam Deck. It feels like parts of it were rushed to move onto Chapter 4, which has far less issues.
OVERALL:
An absolute achievement all around, especially when you consider how long it's been since DELTARUNE's initial release. Alongside Chapters 1 & 2 (which are free), you're getting a bevy of new content with Chapters 3 & 4 that stays true to the formula. If you're a fan of this world and its characters, you're going to laugh, cry, and curse Toby Fox for making you have to wait even longer to see the conclusion. My main gripes with the game are incredibly minor complaints and have very little to do with the quality product you're getting. I'll certainly be putting a dozen more hours in just to see all the content I may or may not have missed on my first run.

HOWEVER: If you are expecting a full, complete experience with a beginning, middle, and end, I'd encourage you to hold off on purchasing this. I'm a massive fan who knew it would be sold as an incomplete game to show support to Toby and the team, but others might not be as forgiving to want to pay $25 for something that currently doesn't have an ending, with no ETA as to when we'll see it. This isn't a slight on Toby or his team, as game development is challenging even when everything is going right. But it is a warning to those who think you'll be getting a finished product.
RECOMMENDATION SCALE:

-BUY IT

-WAIT FOR SALE/PATCHES
-IGNORE IT

it's a slow burn but the secret gay sex scene between rouxls and spamton is worth it

Really loved this game, but the game used 2 terrible gimmicks in ch 4. Not seeing and having to rely on sound. FOR A VERY BIG FIGHT. This is unfair to anyone with hearing problems and quite frankly unbeatable because of said gimmick. How this made it through testing and no one said anything angers me to no end

deltarune is worth irresponsibly spending the last twenty-five dollars in your checking account on!

why are so many things just.... arbitrarily locked when you progress past them.... like I can't do the secret boss of act 3 as I'm past part of it. Like in act 1 and 2 you could go back to do the secret boss up until the very end, but in act 3 you have to do a bunch of things early to late in the act that you can't fix or change later on so if you want to do the secret boss you just have to restart the entire chapter. Doesn't help that theres only 3 save slots for each chapter so you can't make a backup at each point of importance.

DELTARUNE tomorrow was yesterday. This game has given me DETERMINATION to live longer and fulfill my HOPES & DREAMS. Anyone who wants to live a good adventure with characters better developed than most games and some F*ing good music should play this game.

Roxas out.

(Clarification: Already played Chapter 1 and 2 in the Demo)

Barely an hour in and I can say with confidence that this is the most fun I've had in a video game in a long while. Gameplay is fresh but familiar and the writing is - as expected - on point.

I'm going to update this review once I've finished Chapter 4.
