A solidly good game, with an amazing story. The mechanics are the only thing keeping it from an amazing game, while it flows well and definitely doesnt stop it from being a good game, there are times where it can feel a little clunky. Great feel to the weapons, exploring has MANY amazing rewards which I love, just wish the game was a little longer, took me 9 hours to 100% the game including all achievements. 8.5/10 game

Yes, its rough around the edges some animations and voice lines aren't polished but honestly there's a sheen or shimmer of creativity in this title. The sci-fi concepts are there, the exploration is entertaining with stead thoughtful/challenging combat definitely worth your time. Buy on discount but definitely a hidden gem don't sleep on it.

I give a 4 out of 5 Stars ★ for Scars Above
Scars Above is one of the rare well made indie games set in a sci-fi future which kinda reminded me of Tom Cruise Oblivion. You play a regular Astronaut teleported to an Alien world and must survive using your scientific knowledge and engineering skills as you 3d print weapons and gadgets.
Here is how i summarize this
Pros:
100% Steam Achievements - Easy to get in just 1 Play through
Linear game-play with a good story
Beautiful Level design
Elemental weapons and lots of Gadgets which provide variety in combat
Easy mechanics with Boss battles
A good music score
Cons:
The game has no manual save and has to be completed as end to end
The lack of manual save was a major let down because i would like to replay boss battles using manual saves
No manual saves also means this game has no replay value
Overall this game is enjoyable with a good story, a decent combat system, easy puzzle solving and easy to get 100% Steam Achievements in a single play through but without replay value you just play once and uninstall making it one of the games that is Finish & Forget
But i recommend it

It's a good game, showing that a visually impressive game with a fun little story line can be created on a small budget. Yes, facial animations are nearly non-existent, but otherwise it's a visually beautiful experience.
