Really great game. I went in, expecting a Mafia type coat of pain of Grand Theft Auto, but was caught off guard by the differences in aesthetic, gameplay, story, and more. Plenty of twists and turns as well as enjoyable idle time. Worth it when on sale.

Horrible just what I get is a black screen. Tried to fix it many times but it just wont work. apparently I am not the only one. I just uninstalled it... I run out of patience.

the gameplay is really fun, the lore is interesting and well built, and its very historically accurate. i pretty much have no complaints except the classic mode race. 10/10 game

Mafia Definite Edition is flawed but great game, totally worth playing if you haven't played it yet, also it is worth the upgrade if you have only played the original version.
Pros:
-Story
-Gameplay
-Graphics
-30s atmosphere and music
Cons:
-Story mode is very linear without possibilities to explore at your own pace (luckily there is free roam mode but still, would have been nice to explore during story mode)
-Story is short
TLDR: If you are fan of open world GTA like games I suggest this its short but great game.
Overall Rating: 4/5

Mafia unfolds like an interactive film, a moody reverie of cinematic precision that recalls the works of Coppola, Scorsese, and Leone. The city, draped in rain, especially feels like a living painting, its every reflective surface an invitation to pause and absorb. From the very first glimpse of the city at night, it’s clear: this is not mere virtual scenery. The neon lights bleed into the wet asphalt, headlights carve thin streaks of light through the rain, and every reflective surface seems to shimmer with a cocktail of red and yellow tones. One is drawn into this world not only through the sharpness of its visuals but through the subtle sonic details: the scrape of wet shoes on cobblestones, the low murmur of old radio static, the hum of traffic. Each detail is steeped in the atmospheric quality of classic gangster films, with facial animations so vivid that they seem less digital than human.
Yet, for all its visual and auditory splendor, the world feels oddly hollow. The city, though meticulously crafted, exists only to serve the story — a beautiful but static backdrop. There’s no room for exploration or side ventures; the world is essentially a stage, where the action unfolds episodically, almost like a play. In this sense, the game’s environment functions more as an asset than a true living world.
Gameplay follows the same deliberate pace — slow, methodical, grounded in realism. It lacks the frantic energy of GTA, offering instead a more restrained, narrative-driven experience. There are no side missions, no character upgrades; instead, it’s an immersive dive into a well-crafted, linear story. The emotion is palpable — every glance, every slight twitch of a lip feels heavy with unspoken history. One scene stands out in particular: a quiet, devastating moment when the protagonist returns home after a brutal massacre, only to be greeted by his lover, whose simple, detached response to his desperate question — "Will you marry me?" — is a single word: "Okay." The understated nature of the moment gives it an eerie, almost noir-ish weight. It’s a scene that lingers, not because of its grandiosity, but because of its restraint.
For those who hold The Godfather and Goodfellas in reverence, Mafia offers a cinematic experience that, while not expansive in its gameplay, will resonate deeply. It’s not the chaotic freedom of modern open-world games, but rather a quiet, compelling treasure for those who appreciate the artistry of its craft.

Good old game with a new graphics, looks cool and playing too. However still has a lot of bugs even through years. Recommend to play on it.

Great story. Terrible driving and the worst level I have ever played in a game: the race mission.

I just finished playing the game, and I loved every single minute of it. The missions were perfectly paced—never too long or too short—and the game's overall flow felt pretty good. But what truly stood out to me was the sound design and the ABSOLUTELY-GOOSEBUMPIER GOD-TIER SOUNDTRACK and the INCREDIBLE voice acting!
For the gameplay, let’s get the bad out of the way first… THE BIKE MISSIONS. Seriously, WHAT THE F&CK?! The bikes in this game are ridiculously hard to control and they handle like absolute A§§! It’s easily the most frustrating part of the game.
That said, the cars feel fantastic to drive. You can choose between arcade-style driving or simulation mode (which I did). Simulation mode makes the cars feel heavier, meaning they accelerate slower, turn with more difficulty, and require more braking distance. You can also choose between automatic and manual transmission. Overall the driving feels really good for me.
The shooting mechanics feel old but solid. While the weapon selection is somewhat limited—mostly shotguns, pistols, and the legendary Tommy Gun, the combat is satisfying. In most fights you go from cover to cover, shooting and switching up weapons until everyone is dead.
The game is short, there’s no way around that. If it wasn't for the Free Ride mode, which adds extra side missions after completing the story, the game would feel even shorter. Collectibles of all sorts, scattered through the story missions and the free roam pad the game even more.
Overall I recommend the Mafia: Definitive Edition, but not on full price.
Mafia 1 Remake platinado

E meus amigos...
