Watch Dogs: Legion is a phenomenal open-world experience that sets a new bar for sandbox games! Ubisoft’s rendition of a near-futuristic London is breathtaking, with vibrant streets, iconic landmarks, and a gritty cyberpunk vibe that pulls you in from the start. The graphics are top-notch, with stunning lighting and reflections that make rainy nights in Camden or sunny days by the Thames feel alive. The attention to detail in the world-building is impeccable—every NPC has a story, routine, and personality, making the city feel like a living, breathing entity.

The standout feature is the “play as anyone” mechanic, which lets you recruit virtually any character you encounter to join your hacker collective, DedSec. Each recruit comes with unique abilities, backstories, and voice acting, adding incredible variety to gameplay. Want to infiltrate a stronghold as a sneaky granny with a silenced pistol? Or storm in as a bare-knuckle boxer with a drone buddy? The choice is yours, and the freedom to switch characters keeps missions dynamic and replayable. The recruitment system is intuitive, with side missions to win over potential allies, adding depth to the narrative and making every character feel meaningful.

Hacking remains the heart of the Watch Dogs series, and Legion refines it to perfection. You can hack cameras, drones, turrets, and even enemy gadgets to create chaos or slip through undetected. The environmental puzzles and creative hacking opportunities—like hijacking a cargo drone to soar over rooftops—make every encounter a playground for experimentation. The skill tree is robust, offering upgrades like cloaking, spiderbot deployment, and augmented reality traps, ensuring you always have new tools to play with.

The story is a thrilling mix of dystopian resistance and sharp British humor, tackling themes of surveillance, corporate greed, and rebellion. The voice acting is stellar, with diverse accents and personalities bringing the cast to life. While the narrative follows a somewhat familiar “fight the power” arc, the missions are varied, ranging from stealthy data heists to explosive car chases. The ability to approach objectives in multiple ways—stealth, hacking, or all-out combat—keeps the gameplay fresh and engaging.

Multiplayer is a fantastic addition, offering co-op missions, competitive modes, and open-world shenanigans with friends. Roaming London with a squad, pulling off synchronized hacks, or racing through the streets in futuristic cars is pure fun. The online mode feels polished, with regular updates adding new content like tactical ops missions and seasonal events.

Performance-wise, the game runs smoothly on modern hardware, with customizable settings to balance visuals and frame rates. The soundtrack is another highlight, blending electronic beats, punk rock, and classical tunes that perfectly match London’s eclectic vibe. Minor gripes, like occasional AI quirks or repetitive side activities, fade against the sheer ambition and polish of the experience.

Watch Dogs: Legion is a love letter to freedom, creativity, and the chaotic charm of London. Whether you’re a fan of the series or new to the franchise, this game delivers hours of immersive, innovative fun. It’s a must-play for anyone who craves open-world adventures with a hacker’s edge. 10/10, highly recommend!

Great game for short sessions or extended plays! The lack of a "main character" is a turn off for some players, but I feel that's where this game shines. You can play as the old lady down the street that is tired of seeing homes around her be bought out and left abandoned, or the edgy grafiti artist that is trying to take a stand against the authoritarian regime. The pure choice in characters you get from playing adds the much needed diversity to keep you coming back to see what the game throws at you next through all of it's main story lines. Take back London and be the watch dogs for the people and not just the corporations.

Pros

1) Nice London environment as far as atmosphere and graphics go.
2) Good optimised, even runs on modern integrated graphics.
3) Lots of options in settings for UI and difficulty.
4) Nice gameplay.

Cons

1) Launcher is annoying.
2) Cannot save anywhere, it does it for you.
3) On Exit save to cloud failed twice and only did it on the 3rd time.

I actually quite like this game, love exploring familiar places around London and the idea of recruiting and using different people for different tasks is rather interesting. Maybe not for a full price, but on sale it seems to be worth it.
However, I cannot recommend this game due to the fact it just stopped launching about 25h into it. It just does not work anymore, I was playing one evening, then went away for a few days, and the game would not launch anymore. Tried all the fixes I have found online but nothing works. from what I see online, there's many more people with the same issue, so don't buy this game, sale or not.
Ironically, the game is also on Xbox pass, but I cannot even see if that version works, because the Steam version is already linked to my Ubisoft account and it won't install.
I hate to say it about the game I liked, but don't buy it.

Ubisoft deserves no love. Do not buy this game if you have other means available to you. That being said, its a really fun time. Resistance Mode is incredibly enjoyable, making the game significantly harder on top of the looming threat of permadeath hanging over each and every one of DEDSEC's members. Finding relatives, friends, romantic partners, and enemies of your crew walking around in public is a cool feature, and the general populace is highly reactive to your actions. All in all, this game has gotten a lot of flak that it does not deserve. Highly recommend playing this one, but don't buy it.
7/10
Hadn't gotten to playing the Bloodline DLC, but what I can say is this: the best parts of the story IMO had everything to do with appearances from WD1's Aiden Pearce and WD2's Wrench. None of the characters are likeable, and it really doesn't help that unlike the first two installments of the series, Legion does away with main characters; instead replacing them with NPCs. The value of a person in your team is directly correlated to their special attribute and no longer any emotional connection with individual stories.

Most people didn't like that about Legion, myself included. I loved Marcus and the SF DeadSec, I hated Aiden but he was badass for what it's worth and wrote a paper about Clara. The narrative experience in Legion is very detached and impersonal, and that hurt its overall quality because it had to rely on personalities from the previous games to reconnect with fans of the franchise.

What ends up happening is you essentially filling in the personalities of the NPCs from their voice and basic traits, so unless you have a really dynamic imagination that can get you as emotionally engaged into the template NPCs as Marcus or Aiden, then you will have a tough time going through the story.
Lack of Likeable Characters
Now the gameplay is fun, the drones are very fun, and there are cool new functions that come with the newer technology featured in the game. Some of the puzzles can get very repetitive, especially if you're trying to do a completion run like I did--but that's been a common theme with every WD game tbh.

But Aiden's ability to
blackout Chicago
in WD1 and in subsequent games will always be my favorite thing about Watch Dogs, nothing really ever compares.
Woo Hackerman
If you like London and are a fan of the Watch Dogs franchise for its hacking gameplay, you will enjoy this game. Plus, I personally enjoyed the whole Bagley origin arc. I enjoyed this game for the gameplay, I would never recommend it for its story.

I like watch dogs 1 and 2 more but this one is okay. The graphics is phenomenal at places but sometime looks kinda washed out too and the story is not really appealing to me. The hacking is okay and the gameplay is fine too and the parkour bro why its getting worse- But if you can play this game without comparing the 2 games before i think its an ok game.

I think this must be one of the worst games I have played in a while. It's a poor, lazily written mess with horrible gameplay. WD2 was actually good, very good even. It had a story, interesting characters, gameplay was fun. Here all of those elements are missing or were downgraded. There is no main character since you jump around between your recruits which are a bunch of NPC clones with randomly assigned looks and skills. You can't even swap weapons besides the four that you research, you cant upgrade them or mod them either. And the weapons are non lethal, only when you recruit someone that has a lethal weapon that one charater will be able to use it. I guess you could say its funny that half of the grandmas in the game carry shotguns and high caliber handguns. I even recruited a hobo cause she had a machine gun...
All in all, even on sale this turd of a game is not worth the time it takes to finish, and I didnt even bother with the mandatory gazilion side activities crammed in to the game.
